Fish House Grill – Best places to eat in Bar Harbor
The Fish House Grill is one of my FAVORITE spots to eat in Bar Harbor – I take all of my guests there and I try and check it out when I am there with friends as well. There’s a Raw Bar sign on the bar from Key West, so of course I feel right at home. The seafood is fresh and delicious – displayed out in front of you if you’re getting a drink at the bar! We had to wait for a table the last time we were there, but it was fine, because we waited at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and beers were on special! We then made our way out to our table on the pier to check out the views and get some time in the sun.
Getting there
The Fish House is located right in the heat of Downtown Bar Harbor. It’s right next to the Whale Watching building, you actually go into it to get to it. The restaurant is right on the water. Park – if you’re lucky – in the Marina parking lot right next to the restaurant, or on the street.
What to try
I am moderately obsessed with heir Old Bay Peel and eat shrimp and the Porcupine Margarita with Patron – YUM. Seating wise, you can’t beat the view, inside or outside. The inner dining area is quaint, with an open kitchen and mimics a ship’s insides.
Make sure to check out the Fish House Grill when visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park!
Happy Trails,
DD
