Cadillac Mountain is a wonderful winter hike in Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park is a popular tourist destination in the summer which is why we like to take full advantage in the winter. It’s so nice to be alone at the summit to Cadillac Mountain in the winter!
How to access Cadillac Mountain in the winter
You’ll want to park off Eagle Lake Road, at the park entrance. You can park before the gate, walk through the gate and across the bridge where you’ll pick up the Kebo Brook Trail. You’ll take the Kebo Brook Trail until you hit the North Ridge trail to Cadillac Mountain.

Distance: Approx. 4 miles
Elevation: Approx 1,118 feet
Trail type: Out & back
Trails: Kebo Brook Trail -> Cadillac North Ridge Trail
Kids: It’s icy and sketchy in the winter, so the whine factor is likely high. Big kids only for sure.
Dogs: We did see a big dog up there! It’s icy, so use your judgement.
