Willow and I decided to start off the new year with a bang – and by bang I mean fitness kick! We’re always looking for great things to do in the Greater Bangor Region and especially things that involve the outdoors, so we thought we’d go for a snowshoe. We live in the Hampden/Winterport area of the Greater Bangor region, so we met up at one of the many parks that our region has to offer – Dorthea Dix Park! The parking lot is snow covered in the winter – so parked on the side of the road and walked in. It’s a true gem – many miles of land to explore and go snowshoeing. It’s sheltered by neighborboods on either side, so it’s pretty easy to not get lost while still having an adventure + workout.

Snowshoeing is one of my favorite winter adventures. It’s great to get outside in nature and chill and get a workout.

This trail is great for kids or dogs! All season trail for sure. If you’re visiting the Greater Bangor region or you’re living in the Greater Bangor region – this is a fantastic escape which is not a far drive away!
